WetINK was established in 1999, it seemed a good year for the company to burst into life. Our goal was simple … to produce the best quality fine art prints you have ever seen, to bring to life the artistic vision our clients strive so hard to achieve.
We started off as a one-man design and animation business, creating visual flythrough’s for landscape architects to designing posters for professionals to present to clients. The biggest hurdle was getting these posters printed at high res, in those days people would get a fright if you brought in a file of more than 100mb. Needless to say this was a huge stumbling block and at the time my partners and i decided to take the risk and buy our own printer, the condition was that we print for other people to offset the costs, little did we know that this would be become WetINK in a few short years.
The demand kept growing, and my interest in the papers and print technology kept us on the cutting edge, we love the tech behind the prints.
As the owner of the company, I don’t just sit in the back and look like I am working, I love calibrating the papers and seeing just how much we can get from our printers, I also love sourcing beautiful new papers, and this seems to be a never-ending pursuit, much to the delight of our customers.
We are always developing new methods, and better ways to keep our clients informed as to the progress of their print jobs. We realise that in this world of print on demand, deadlines are just as important as detail. It doesn’t help if your fantastic invites printed on Fedrigoni Tintoretto Gesso arrive 2 days after your exhibition. We do have the odd, bump in the process, but are always open to criticism if we get something wrong, after all we work with you as part of a team and are proud of our product.
