TENANT PROFILE: SAGE & SUNDAY

What goes on behind that beautiful Sage & Sunday shopfront on Albert Road? Here’s our latest Creative Business Q&A, this time with Woodstock Exchange atelier Sage & Sunday...

Q: Tell us a bit about Sage & Sunday, what it is and how it came to be?

A: Sage & Sunday is a sustainable hemp linen clothing business. The brand was born out of a passion for combining style and sustainability. We identified a gap in the market for eco-friendly fashion that doesn’t compromise on aesthetics, and inspired by the versatility and environmental benefits of hemp, the brand was established to offer conscious consumers a stylish and sustainable choice in their clothing.

Q: What has been the most standout lesson in your creative business journey so far?

A: One of the standout lessons has been the importance of building a strong community around sustainable fashion, and fostering customer education on the benefits of hemp and sustainable choices.

Q: How long have you been based at the Woodstock Exchange for? And what do you like most about it?

A: We have proudly been based at the Exchange for almost 2 years. What we love most about it is its vibrant and creative atmosphere. It has a unique blend of artistic energy and entrepreneurial spirit that allows us to connect with like-minded individuals and businesses, fostering a supportive environment for creativity and innovation.

Q: What’s next for the business? Is there something specific that you would like to achieve in the next year?

A: We want to further establish S&S as a leading sustainable fashion brand. We’re planning to expand our product line, exploring new designs and incorporating even more eco-friendly materials. We also have initiatives in place to deepen our commitment to social responsibility, ensuring fair labor practices throughout our supply chain. Ultimately we want to continue inspiring a positive shift towards conscious consumerism and contribute to a more sustainable and fashionable future.
