TENANT PROFILE: TINA’S CHOCOLATE & CONFECTIONARY

For our second Creative Business profile we did a short Q&A with Tina Breidi, Woodstock’s favourite chocolatier and confectioner at Tina’s Chocolate and Confectionary…

Q: Tell us a bit about Tina’s Chocolate and Confectionary, what it is and how it came to be?

A: Tina’s is a project born out of my love and passion for food. With a background in design and a chocolatier father, I found creativity and potential in the overlapping space joining these two fields.

Q: If there’s one thing you would want Tina’s to be known for, what would it be?

A: All delicacies are produced, decorated and packaged on-site with great care, and you can be sure they are always fresh! We use the highest quality spices, herbs, chocolate and nuts.

Q: What has been the most standout lesson in your creative business journey so far?

A: Consistency, week by week. Small steps will take you to unimaginable places.

Q: How long have you been based at the Woodstock Exchange for? And what do you like most about it?

A: I moved into our Woodstock kitchen in December 2021, so 2 years now. It’s been very fulfilling to have my own kitchen space and the full freedom to explore with chocolate and confectionery.

Q: What’s next for the business? Is there something specific that you would like to achieve in the next year?

A: We just launched our online website, and are looking at expanding our confections across South Africa. TINA’S will also be part of some other food experiences and food projects in the coming year, which we’re looking forward to.
